The Security and Safety Department is one of the important university departments that specializes in providing protection and security for individuals and property within the university campus.
To understand the historical background of the Security and Safety Department, a Safety Committee was established in accordance with the decision of the Secretary-General of the University No. 942 dated 6/17/1975.
It then developed into the Safety Department in accordance with the decision of the Director of the University No. 267 of 1981.
The name of the department was then changed to the Security and Safety Department in accordance with the decision of the Director of the University No. 113 on 9/11/1991.
Since that time, the department has been working to implement the university's security strategy by providing the best technical and administrative means to maintain the security and safety of individuals,
property and university facilities.
