Kuwait University, represented by the Security and Safety Department, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Health, represented by the Health Promotion Department, organized an awareness exhibition titled “World Diabetes Day,” in conjunction with the global campaign to raise awareness about diabetes. The event was held on Thursday, 13/11/2025, at the College of Life Sciences (Southern Campus) in Sabah Al-Salem University City, with the aim of raising awareness about diabetes to improve prevention, diagnosis, and therapeutic management of the condition, and to enhance the awareness and educational level of members and visitors of the university campus and all segments of society to prevent diabetes, and to raise awareness on how to follow a healthy lifestyle, the dangers of diabetes, and the methods and means of preventing it, focusing on avoiding the disease rather than focusing on treating or dealing with it.

This comes within the framework of affirming the principle of community partnership between Kuwait University and the Ministry of Health in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, to ensure health awareness and promote the concept that prevention is better than cure through organizing awareness campaigns and exhibitions on campus.
