For the third consecutive year, the Department of Security and Safety at Kuwait University launched the traffic awareness campaign today, Sunday, October 13, 2024, at the College of Engineering and Petroleum in Sabah Al-Salem University City, in coordination and cooperation with the Ministry of Interior.

The campaign's activities were inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Mohammed Saud Al-Sulaiman, Acting Assistant Secretary-General for Facility Management Affairs, and Mr. Youssef Yaqub Al-Khamees, Director of the Department of Security and Safety. They honored Colonel Fahad Ibrahim Al-Essa, Lieutenant Colonel Abdullah Boushassan, and Major Mohammed Khalid Al-Rafie, representatives of the Public Relations Department of the General Traffic Department at the Ministry of Interior, who participated in the campaign.

The campaign activities included visits and field tours within the college buildings to directly engage with the audience and enter classrooms where the campaign was held, aiming to inform students about traffic safety rules. Awareness flashes were also presented in each classroom for about 5 to 10 minutes to address this issue, ensuring the safety of our male and female students.

The goal of this campaign is to reach as many students and campus visitors as possible to promote traffic culture and raise awareness about traffic safety regulations, highlighting the dangers of violating traffic laws within the university campus and designated parking areas. It also aims to educate everyone on how to avoid mistakes that could lead to traffic accidents, in order to ensure the safety of all visitors to Sabah Al-Salem University City.
